Georgia is a country of origin, transit and destination for victims of trafficking in persons, as well as place of their exploitation.
For several years Georgia has been dynamically undertaking measures to suppress trafficking and has provided specific legislative amendments, as well as carried out relevant steps towards effective implementation of relevant normative base. Mentioned measures and changes aimed to ensure effective fight against trafficking in persons, protection of victims of trafficking and effective investigation of trafficking incidents.
