Naturalization
List of necessary documents for naturalization:
1. Identification documents (ID card, residence permission, passport);
2. Prove of residence in Georgia for at least recent 10 years (ID card,
residence permission, registration document) or court judgment verifying
the jural fact;
3. Two photos 3×4;
4. Prove of property ownership or employment in Georgia;
5. State due GEL 60;
6. All applicants must pass an examination of state language, history of
Georgia and law of Georgia. The Civil Issues Commission of the Ministry
of Justice to hold the exam.
The Civil and Immigration Affairs Collegium of the Ministry of Justice
considers the naturalization cases and prepares reports. The documents
are sent to the President of Georgia, after signing the papers return to
the Ministry of Justice and are issued within the 3-day term.
The estimated term for consideration of naturalization is 6 months.
